Two basins cut into one piece of stone, set over the two wastes already in the wall
What was there
A bare tiled wall with the whole job already committed to it: two sets of hot and cold valves, two waste outlets beneath them, and two electrical tails higher up for the mirror. The floor was tiled and the drain was in.
Two wastes means two basins, and their spacing was fixed the day the plumber left. Nothing about that spacing matches a counter bought by width.
What we made
One continuous sintered stone counter, wall to wall, with both basins cut into the surface — not two bowls dropped into a top. Each one sits directly over the waste that was already there, so no pipework moved.
Two matte black taps mount straight onto the stone. Beneath, an oak drawer unit is set back from the front edge, leaving a shadow gap so the stone appears to float above it.
Above, a large backlit mirror set into the recess, wide enough to span both basins, with the warm glow carrying across the whole wall.
How it was done
We measured the wall, the two waste centres and the spacing between them on site. The counter was cut and both basins formed in our own workshop in Hay Hoshi, Sharjah, then brought to Ajman and installed by our own team.
